Photographing the Berkshires
Thursdays, 3:30-4:00pm Hosted by Thad Kubis, this broadcast is perhaps the only radio-based photography workshop in the known world. Photographing the Berkshires is a live/streaming 30-minute overview of the best and the not so best locations within the Berkshires and beyond to photograph. During the broadcast I will discuss the work of some of the most famous photographers that have defined the art, review locations to photograph, discuss the technical and creative aspects to create a photographic composition that will move the local photographer from just taking pictures to creating fine art photographs. Discussions will include all types of photographic equipment, from pinhole cameras, to the latest digital and of course the current array of smartphone and tablets. Vintage photographic technologies, and alternative processes such as film and darkroom techniques will be included in our discussion. In support of WBCR-LP 97.7FM, I will lead a “donation to the station” based photographic walk each month. You can register for these photographic walks using the contact form below: Thad Kubis
