Foraged Beatz
Saturdays, 10pm-Midnight
Hosted by Shane Meador

Foraged Beatz is a two-hour journey through the music, people, places and cultures that shaped modern electronic and bass music. Hosted by longtime DJ and producer Shane Meador(aka 5th Dimension/Bobbybass), the show digs beyond the records themselves to explore where sounds came from, how they traveled, and what they became.

Episodes combine storytelling, carefully selected records, DJ mixes, interviews and occasional live sessions, tracing connections between soundsystem culture, reggae, dub, dancehall, jungle, drum & bass, UK bass, house, rave and beyond.

The first series will follow the musical journey from Jamaican soundsystem culture through dub and dancehall, across the Atlantic into British soundsystems and rave culture, and ultimately into the emergence of jungle in the 1990s.

Foraged Beatz — digging for the roots of the music we hear today.
