Food For Thought self report.  Larry accidentally stated a price on the air. made on-air correction and reported to the committee.  Per program committee policy the three point for the violation are reduced to two for the self-reporting.

Jumping Off, self report.  Guest stated price on the air.  to be reviewed next meeting.

Phil Johnson, volunteer.  Phil, a programmer with an extensive history of volunteer contributions to the station has asked for a waiver this term based on extenuating circumstances including his efforts to reach out to the volunteer coordinator.  Motion: To grant the programmer a one-time waiver based on consistent past contributions, circumstances, and demonstrated efforts to meet the requirements this term and contingent upon commitment to complete volunteer hours based on task suggestions provided by the Membership Committee.  Approved unanimously.

And So It Flows, self report.  April 1st program included prices on air, calls to action, and potential self-promotion conflicts.  Committee found violations in each category and appointed 2 points per type of violation (reducing each by one point for self-reporting) and that Leslie Gabriel (programmer) will assist in coordinating a workshop addressing these issues for himself and other programmers in a similar position and will attend the workshop himself. Unanimous, however Ananda abstained because of her position as Leslie’s day captain.

Summer Schedule

Several members of the committee will meet and develop a proposed schedule to be brought to the committee at the next regularly scheduled PC meeting (May 20th).

Music Director

Playlist entries are being posted to the front page of the website in real time, however it will need some more formatting.
No new reports on label contacts.

New Programmer Training Update

Expected update did not arrive in time for this meeting, however Ananda reported on what information she had regarding the status of new programmers, including one programmer cleared pending approval of policy quiz and who has completed the station and policy orientation.

Program Director Update

Ananda brought information about our decision on volunteer hours to the board, which met with approval.  The Membership Committee is now proceeding actively, headed by Luci Leonard.  They are organizing a quarterly membership par-ttay[sic], the first of which will be May 28th, 6:30-8:30pm, at Friends Meeting House, pending approval.  Attendance at this will count for two volunteer hours.  In addition to the social aspects and food, the par-ttay will focus on connecting volunteers with volunteer tasks and committees, who will provide information (like a job fair).  Dan Bellow has expressed ambitious ideas for the News and Public Affairs director position.  There will be a meeting amongst several with a proposal brought to the PC.

Move: On Air Schedule

New studio will not be ready for the first of June.  Facilities committee has requested a week of no live programming to allow for the transition.  The FC will provide the PC with two weeks notice of the transition week.  PC will notify programmers of the transition process and will provide them with the dates as soon as possible.  Process includes: programmers may provide non-time-sensitive shows that will be aired in automation for the transition week.  A volunteer will coordinate the automation playlists for the transition week.  Programmers who do not have the technical skills to pre-record or edit a past show may appeal to other programmers to assist them, though at this point there will be no one organizing these or trainings on behalf of the PC.
