March 3, 2009 Minutes

Minutes of February 17, 2009:
Motion to approve the minutes as amended.  approved unanimously, one abstention.

Programs and Programmers:
AM Show: Going well. Good roster of volunteers.  March is full.
Radio2Women: Guest made comment regarding movie ticket prices on the air.  Programmer apologized on air and self reported. Clip to be reviewed for next meeting.
Special presentation fill-in requests: Andy Potter requests schedule reservations for airing two public event recordings.  Thurs. March 12 and 26 from 12-1pm.  This would require scheduling events in megaseg, which Andy can do.  This falls under standard fill in policy and the times are now reserved.
Taking Aim: Listener comment wondered why this show did not have a disclaimer.  Programmer may have already recorded intro/outro, but it appears not to be airing.  Nick will look into the files and scheduling.
A World of Possibility:  Member recommended airing this syndicated program. Member of the PC will review for underwriting content and report back at next meeting.  Member is recommended to submit an application for the upcoming term if they want to sponsor the show.
The Great American Songbook: Is now biweekly on Sundays, however the online schedule still reflects a Saturday airing.  Programmer needs additional training.
Berkshire Eagle Program Listing: Their radio listings are out of date.  Luci has already contacted Stephanie Forest, chair of the PR Committee, on this and will continue to work to correct the Eagle’s listings.

Dine Around Town Language:
On-air write up sent to the PC to review for compliance with FCC content rules.  Reviewed, suggestions made and referred to the Board of Directors.

Tasks:
- extract clip of R2W for review at next meeting (DW)
- review Taking Aim playlist/disclaimers (NR)
- review “A World of Possibility” (DW)
- fix online schedule listings for “Great American Songbook” (DW)
- correct Eagle program listings (LL)
