Minutes: August 21, 2007

Without quorum, the meeting was conducted on the premis that the group would make recommendations on agenda items for approval at a specially scheduled meeting on 8/28/07, 7pm, Friends Meeting House.
1. House-keeping (20 min.)

ظ Agenda clarified agenda process: all agenda֒s are open.  to place an item on the agenda post to list-serve or contact Ananda, aka keeper of the agenda.  agendas will always begin with house-keeping items and program/er items, all other items will be organized by the date they were put on the agenda.  Ananda proposes that 1.) agendas should be prioritized by the committee at the beginning of each meeting as necessary; and 2.) that when a person puts an item on the agenda they propose the amount of time theyd like to spend on it.

Reviewed pcؒs requests and directives (see 8/7/07 minutes) with application holder, including: sensitivity guideline, station ID problems and missed training with day captain.  pc strongly encourages the application holder review shows before they air and noted that station ID problems can warrant three policy violation warning points. the application holder will contact Ben Shalles to reschedule training.

ظ The Aquarian Hour (8/21/07)
Forest posted to on-air list-serve that she would not be airing the Aquarian Hour an additional two weeks (after 6 consecutive weeks during which it was not aired) and requested fill in.  all present agreed this is concerning and that there is an expectation that programmers take responsibility for continuity in their show, and that baring illness, not airing a show for an extended period of time isnt ok.  counting ToddҒs vote over email to form quorum, we agreed that Ananda will draft an email expressing concern and requesting Forest attend next regularly scheduled pc meeting.

3. Schedule (PC, 6/19/07)(1 hr.)
Draft schedule almost complete.  Re-applications: two re-applicants requesting changes need follow up, all others (nine) should work with pc approval.  Todd: we need your new title! New applications: of twenty applications all but three were tentatively placed. two programs were tentatively placed, but need follow up with programmers as well as approval from pc.
