January 9 meeting minutes

Attendees:
Ann Condon, Andy Potter, Don McGrory, Ben Shalles, Scott Marks, Chris Meyer

Regarding the Fund Drive:

Theme: Sustainable Radio For A Sustainable WorldӔ

With this theme well try to have local luminaries on, especially those that have been guests, reiterating the theme.  WeҒll also try to have promos using local people.

Task: Andy will draft a list of organizations and names that could fulfill this role.

Also potential premiums, such as WBCR Blend from Barrington Coffee Roasters, or products from other local organizations would really fit into the theme. 

Date: March 5th 11th. 

Publicity:
Press Releases ֖ Task: Andy will put up a whiteboard for press releases discussion, the group is encouraged to look at the text and comment.  Want them done by 26-Jan.
Posters
Promos Task: Chris will ask Todd Lewis if he֒d like to create some promos with community members.  The promos should be in the automation system 2-3 weeks in advance of the fund drive (mid-Feb). 
Lapsed Member Letters Task: Don, Chris, and Ben will put cards out 10-14 days in advance of the fund drive saying, you֒ve lapsed, DONT MISS THE FUND DRIVE!Ҕ
Slide on CTSB and Triplex

Task: Alice will look for some designers to contribute a new, softer design around sustainability to use in a slide, promo material, etc.  Try to get a design by 20-jan. 

Andy noted the need to have all programmers really emphasize the fund drive. 
Ben suggested that we get more volunteers in order to bring energy into the studio.

The fund drive goal will be $14,000; or $2,000 per day.

We need to get volunteer sign-up sheets in the station and at membership meetings.
Task: Chris will send a mail out announcing the fund drive and asking for volunteers.

Day Captains thus far: Todd Monday, Phil T ֖ Saturday, Don Wednesday, Asa ֖ Thursday Task: Chris to put a message to the list for Day captains. 
Ben, Ann, and Andy will help as needed, perhaps as day lieutenantsӔ. 
Were going to look to supplement with day lieutenants at key times.

Premiums:
Barrington Coffee as example of local/sustainable product, also tote bags with Berkshire Grown logo.
Task: Andy speak to Barr Coffee and investigate Berkshire Grown tote bags.
Task: Ann will check on t-shirts with Karen.
Task: Chris speak to Paul about CDs, cc Ben.
